There are four main characters in the entire series and one among them is Williamson played by Dawson Leery. Williamson occupies most of the screen in the whole series and may well be called as the hero of the Dawson’s Creek. The story starts off with four friends who are into the first year of their high school and revolves around these four friends and their introspection into teenage life.
These four friends have been portrayed in such a manner that they have reached the audience very well. Each of these characters has many different sides to their personalities and is very complex to explain. But the directors have been excellent in this regard in making the people understand the characters in the best possible manner.
The storyline is very good and this is the reason for the high popularity among the masses. The music has been scored superbly and this added to the popularity of this series. Each and every episode of Dawson’s Creek has been carved out nicely and “The Longest Day” still remains the top preferred episode of all time in the history of Dawson’s Creek. This episode was a part of the 3rd season and depicted the daily routine of a teenage life in a completely different manner.
The relationship between Williamson and Joey (one among the four important characters) was the most intriguing relations in the entire series and this was indeed the USP of Dawson’s Creek. The relationship between these friends was concluded in the final season in a manner that brought many audiences to tears.
When the series first aired in 1998 many people had different views as the series covered a number of different teenage issues and some of them were shown in a way that not many people appreciated it.
