I just finished up watching a great movie called Stonewashed. The film is good for many reasons and I thought it deserved a thorough review. The character development amidst the sinister plot of Stonewashed Movie is second to none.

The lead role John is played by the very talented Clive Worsley. John, who until now has maintained his small time thief status, decides it is time to up the stakes and heads to the San Francisco Bay to plan his next heist. But when he gets to the city by the bay, he is kidnapped and forced into a role not dissimilar to a private investigator – as his kidnappers make him assist in finding another mysteriously gone missing person, his very good friend Mike!

Worlsey’s performance is riveting and in and of itself is worth giving Stonewashed Movie a thorough watch. But alas, we have not even begin to scratch the surface of the excellent characters in this film.

John’s female counterpart “Melanie”, is played by the wonderful Janine Pibal. Going in search of John and his captors after John does not report back to her, we find “Melanie” to be both sweet and sincere yet unflappable, as she will stop at nothing to get John back safely.

As John and his captors, led by the notorious Vince, search for Mike, so does Melanie in tandem continue her mission to recover the man she loves- John. Kevin Carter plays “Vince” who is desperately trying to cover his and John’s tracks as they meander through the Bay Area in search of Mike.

There are so many exciting twists and turns in Stonewashed, it would be difficult to accurately convey the awesome complexity that is the plot of the film without giving it away entirely. But that is part of the excitement no? Knowing something is a must see, but not knowing exactly why until you see it for yourself.

As Oscar reaches at the venue to deliver the money to Sykes at the racetrack he gets swayed away by the sights and actions of racetrack and takes up the unsafe challenge of betting on a racehorse. Lola (Angelina Jolie), a gorgeous lionfish, notices the challengingly, large bet placed by Oscar and tries coming close to him by flirting with him.

Oscar loses all the money that he was betting on in the horse race and becomes tensed about the potential consequences that may follow when he won’t be able to repay his debt. In the midst of all these tensions, Oscar faces a tough situation when he is confronted by Lenny (Jack Black) and his brother Frankie (Michael Imperioli).

As Lenny prepares to attack (well almost) Oscar as per the orders of his elder brother Frankie, Lenny manages to rescue Oscar from this troublesome situation. Frankie notices the intentions of Lenny of disobeying him and charges towards Lenny. An anchor hits Frankie accidentally and he dies. Lenny runs off from the spot and Oscar by the turn of fate wins the title of ‘Shark slayer’.

Within a short span of time Oscar’s dream of making it big one day comes true. He employers his former boss Sykes as his manager and begins to live a lavish life with his flirty girlfriend Lola. Situation takes a vicious turn when Don Lino sends out his sharks to find Lenny and Oscar as he thinks they were the ones who were responsible for the unexpected death of Frankie. While all this ups and downs going on in Oscar’s life, Lenny returns to ask for shelter and coverage from Oscar. Angie comes to know about the truth of the incident and bashes Oscar for it. Oscar strives to survive through all these tough and problematic situations.

G-Force movie, is a family flick written by Cormac and Marianne Wibberley, the husband and wife team who have delivered many hits like National Treasure, Bad Boys II etc. This movie will definitely be a hit with the kiddies and the grown-ups too. The movie begins with a mole and three guinea pigs receiving training to speak like humans through some devices that are fitted in them. Besides this he also specializes in training insects to carry in to small spaces, tiny cameras and is also considered to be the lord of the flies.

The lead, Darwin (Sam Rockwell’s voice) aided by Juarez (voiced by Penelope Cruz) a Latina, feisty guinea pig and Blaster (voiced by Tracy Morgan)a guinea pig who is African-American and Speckles, the mole (Nicholas Cage), the tech guy. Speckles also is responsible for talking the guinea pigs through the mission because he gets to electronically survey the vicinity that needs to be broken in to. We are not told of his ethnic background.

Ben has suspicions about Sabar, (Bill Nighy) an industrialist who is a billionaire. Ben believes that Sabar is scheming to conquer the world through his electrical appliances. He sends his squad on a mission which goes awry. The FBI (Will Arnett and co) closes down Ben’s zoo and gives all the zoo animals to a pet shop. During their stay there, the guinea pigs meet a crazy hamster (Steve Buscemi), who claims that he is partially a ferret and Hurley (voiced by Jon Favreau) another guinea pig that is chubby. Together they set out to get revenge.

The rodents manage to escape from the pet shop along with their friends. Their main aim is to head toward Sabar and foil his deadly plans. The action begins from here. Not only will the chase scenes keep you on the edge of your seat but might threaten to throw you off the chair even in all the running and chasing, as the one liners come flying out thick and fast and your laughter is never ending. The pace of the story is peppy.

The casting done for this movie is simply great. Hero Robert Pattinson becomes heart throb for all girls even though he has a very small role in the movie. Kristen Stewart wins people heart by her show of emotion and her elegance. Other characters also make the best of their role.

Many theatres sold out all tickets even two months before the release of the movie. It is probably the biggest record even done. The critics rated on an average of 4.6 out of 10. It is no wonder that the director Chris Weitz has done a best job in the movie. The movie is tremendous. There are numerous well placed jokes and the acting is great. Roosevelt (Robin), decides to help Larry restore some sort of order and tells him about the Egyptian Tablet of Akmenrah, an artifact brought in’52 to the museum. Since the arrival of this artifact in’52, all the exhibits in the museum came to life every night. The exhibits could chose to go outside of the museum if they wished up on the condition that they return to the museum before sunrise or they would turn to dust. Cecil, the old guard, suggests that Larry must begin to learn history to be able to deal with the exhibits in a better way.

His boss, Rebecca almost throws him out of his job when she sees the mess in the museum. Larry somehow manages to retain the job and takes Nick with him to spend the night at the museum but nothing happens that night and so is not able to impress Nick. Cecil, Reginald and Gus steal the Tablet of Ahkmenrah because they had received enhanced energy and vitality from the Tablet and don’t want to forsake it.

The chase to catch them begins. The story becomes super exciting from here on.
