As Oscar reaches at the venue to deliver the money to Sykes at the racetrack he gets swayed away by the sights and actions of racetrack and takes up the unsafe challenge of betting on a racehorse. Lola (Angelina Jolie), a gorgeous lionfish, notices the challengingly, large bet placed by Oscar and tries coming close to him by flirting with him.

Oscar loses all the money that he was betting on in the horse race and becomes tensed about the potential consequences that may follow when he won’t be able to repay his debt. In the midst of all these tensions, Oscar faces a tough situation when he is confronted by Lenny (Jack Black) and his brother Frankie (Michael Imperioli).

As Lenny prepares to attack (well almost) Oscar as per the orders of his elder brother Frankie, Lenny manages to rescue Oscar from this troublesome situation. Frankie notices the intentions of Lenny of disobeying him and charges towards Lenny. An anchor hits Frankie accidentally and he dies. Lenny runs off from the spot and Oscar by the turn of fate wins the title of ‘Shark slayer’.

Within a short span of time Oscar’s dream of making it big one day comes true. He employers his former boss Sykes as his manager and begins to live a lavish life with his flirty girlfriend Lola. Situation takes a vicious turn when Don Lino sends out his sharks to find Lenny and Oscar as he thinks they were the ones who were responsible for the unexpected death of Frankie. While all this ups and downs going on in Oscar’s life, Lenny returns to ask for shelter and coverage from Oscar. Angie comes to know about the truth of the incident and bashes Oscar for it. Oscar strives to survive through all these tough and problematic situations.

G-Force movie, is a family flick written by Cormac and Marianne Wibberley, the husband and wife team who have delivered many hits like National Treasure, Bad Boys II etc. This movie will definitely be a hit with the kiddies and the grown-ups too. The lead, Darwin (Sam Rockwell’s voice) aided by Juarez (voiced by Penelope Cruz) a Latina, feisty guinea pig and Blaster (voiced by Tracy Morgan)a guinea pig who is African-American and Speckles, the mole (Nicholas Cage), the tech guy. Speckles also is responsible for talking the guinea pigs through the mission because he gets to electronically survey the vicinity that needs to be broken in to. We are not told of his ethnic background.

Ben has suspicions about Sabar, (Bill Nighy) an industrialist who is a billionaire. Ben believes that Sabar is scheming to conquer the world through his electrical appliances. He sends his squad on a mission which goes awry. The FBI (Will Arnett and co) closes down Ben’s zoo and gives all the zoo animals to a pet shop. During their stay there, the guinea pigs meet a crazy hamster (Steve Buscemi), who claims that he is partially a ferret and Hurley (voiced by Jon Favreau) another guinea pig that is chubby. Together they set out to get revenge.

The rodents manage to escape from the pet shop along with their friends. Their main aim is to head toward Sabar and foil his deadly plans. The action begins from here. Not only will the chase scenes keep you on the edge of your seat but might threaten to throw you off the chair even in all the running and chasing, as the one liners come flying out thick and fast and your laughter is never ending. The pace of the story is peppy.

If you watch Night at the Museum movie part 1, you will definitely not skip part 2. A comedy, adventure American movie released in 2006 and 2009 respectively both are fantabulous. The movie adapted from a children’s book written by Milan Trenc with the same name, was a great success. The cast includes Ben Stiller who plays the lead role supported by Robin Williams, Bill Cobbs, Dick Van Dyke, Paul Rudd, Mickey Rooney, Steve Coogan, Carla Gugino, Owen Wilson and Ricky Gervais.

The first part is simply called Night at the Museum and the second part is called Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. The movie begins with Larry Daley (Ben), who is a divorced father struggling to sustain a stable job. He had made numerous attempts at various business ventures that failed always. He is trying desperately to win over his son Nick, who is beginning to choose Don, his step father, as a role model due to his successful career as a Wall street bond trader.

Finally Larry gets a stable job at the American Museum of Natural History as a night guard. Three ready to retire night guards (Cecil, Reginald and Gus), are instructed to give Larry a short, quick tour of the place. They tell him to leave on some lights at all times of the night and warn him about not letting anything ‘in or out’ of the museum. Larry is very amused by all these instructions. When darkness falls, he is surprized to find all the museum exhibits come to life. This includes Tyrannosaurus rex, a living skeleton, Dexter, a capuchin mischievous monkey, Jedediah, a cowboy leading miniatures, Theodore Roosevelt’s wax model and Octavius the Roman General.

Roosevelt (Robin), decides to help Larry restore some sort of order and tells him about the Egyptian Tablet of Akmenrah, an artifact brought in’52 to the museum. Since the arrival of this artifact in’52, all the exhibits in the museum came to life every night. The exhibits could chose to go outside of the museum if they wished up on the condition that they return to the museum before sunrise or they would turn to dust. Cecil, the old guard, suggests that Larry must begin to learn history to be able to deal with the exhibits in a better way.

His boss, Rebecca almost throws him out of his job when she sees the mess in the museum. Larry somehow manages to retain the job and takes Nick with him to spend the night at the museum but nothing happens that night and so is not able to impress Nick. Cecil, Reginald and Gus steal the Tablet of Ahkmenrah because they had received enhanced energy and vitality from the Tablet and don’t want to forsake it.

The chase to catch them begins. The story becomes super exciting from here on. How the museum exhibits help Larry in the chase, how Larry convinces his boss of what takes place in the night, how Larry wins over his son achieves his dream of becoming a role model for his son is unfolded in this movie. There is a strong belief that Walt Disney and Hayao Miyazaki are masters of the same genre but born at different times. We have seen some beautiful animated films from the hands of Miyazaki like Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. Ponyo, however, is a major disappointment. There are a lot of loopholes in the plot and other deficiencies too which make this movie look really bad. Ponyo is actually an anime which might bore the young teens after a few minutes. It will be enjoyed by the kids only.

The film is loosely based on \”The Little Mermaid\” by Hans Christian Anderson. The film is about a goldfish which yearns to become a girl so that he can live with the human boy with whom she has fallen in love. A simple story of love that should have been made in to a great movie.

Mr. Miyazaki totally disappoints with this movie. It is hard to believe that he is the same man who directed classics like \”Spirited Away\” and \”Howl\’s Moving Castle\”. Ponyo is nowhere these great films and one wonders why Mr Miyazaki erred while making Ponyo. The animation is good but nothing to write about and we fear the audience might lose interest after the initial 30 minutes or so.

The script of the film, Ponyo should have been well-written. The film lacks punch because of a weak script. Ponyo is one such glaring example. But there are some scenes which show signs of brilliance. There is a scene in which we see Ponyo taking a human form and running along a huge wave that resembles a giant fish. This one should be liked a by all. But a disappointment still lingers – he was definitely capable of making a better film than what Ponyo really is.

Ponyo (voiced by Noah Cyrus) is a baby fish who lives with her father (Liam Neeson), a magical sea guardian. She decides to leave her father and home behind to explore more of the world. In her little adventures she falls into a trash and is swept ashore. She is picked up by Sosuke (Frankie Jonas), a five year old boy. The two becomes friendly and starts liking each other. One day, by accident, she tastes a drop of Sosuke\’s blood and she get changed to a little girl. Her father makes all kind of attempts to stop the changes but fails in every effort. Ponyo, on the other hand, is determined and breaks free from all of them. She heads for the surface.

Nature started to act strange as soon as Ponyo headed towards the surface. The tides were rising and the moon was drawing surprisingly closer. The reasons are not known. Aliens in the Attic movie is a family oriented movie set in Michigan but originally shot in New Zealand. This movie has two parts to it. The digital effects are good and the cast is athletic, which helps make the action a bit more believable. The movie is based on alien invading Earth. The characters are both funny and appealing.

Care has been taken not to make the aliens look mechanical in their appearance. They speak in English. The aliens are four in number, commanded by Skip (J.K.Simmons\’ voice) a warrior Razor who is a girl (Kari Wahlgren\’s voice), muscular Tazer (Voiced by Thomas Church) and Sparks (Voiced by Josh Peek). The action is not too graphic which is a pleasant change for children movies.

The story begins with Kevin Nealon and Gillian Vigman (parents) deciding to go on a fishing vacation to their lake house in Michigan. Their children Carter Jenkins (who is a brainy child but fails in math), Ashley Tisdale (who has an annoying, creepy boyfriend Robert Hoffman) and Ashley Boettcher (whose role in the movie is to look adorable) accompany them on this trip. Joining them are their relatives, who form another family, which consists of the dad (Andy Richter) who is a beer drinker, a grandmother who is off centered (Doris Roberts), a male teen (Austin Butler) and a pair of identical twins (Henri and Regan Young).

A meteor shower hits the house\’s attic and leaves four tiny aliens behind in it, disrupting their vacation. The aliens want to destroy man-kind by turning adult humans in to robots that are remotely controlled. They accomplish this, by injecting the adults in the neck, then implanting a device through which the adults brain and movements can be remote controlled. The implant is ineffective on children so they are spared. It is now up to the children to protect the adults and to the save the world.

Robert Hoffman is one of the first adults to get implanted. His remote control finds its way in to the children\’s hands who take advantage of it to make Robert slap himself, dance, twist, jerk and flip his body and then cannonball himself in to many embarrassing situations. One of the most interesting scenes in the movie is a kung-fu style, full contact fight scene between Robert and Doris.
